why finding your correct typology is so important

i've been interested in typology since i was 10 years old, as mentioned in my typology blog. i've always loved to discover myself, to know the intricacies of what makes me me. self discovery is a great thing, and is very helpful if you'd like to better yourself. typology is useful for more than self discovery though, it can help you understand others and their intricacies as well.
typing yourself correctly is very important. how will you be aware of your struggles if your type is wrong? how will you know the truth about yourself and your perceptions if your type is incorrect? how will others know the truth? having the correct typing is the point of understanding yourself through typology.
i was mistyped as an sp6 for years, and during that time i was unaware of the truth. i was struggling really badly with anxiety during that time, and i thought that sp6 represented that struggle. i am not very logical or introspective the way an sp6 is, and my anxiety is very people focused.
i am constantly horrified that people know some terrible truth about me and hate me if they even look at me wrong. i believe that people don't talk to me because they know i'm different from them on a fundamental level. when we discussed chalmer's zombie argument in philosophy, i freaked out and thought i was a philosophical zombie (exact replica of a human with no consciousness) because i couldn't describe the experience of the color green, and people would know i was a zombie.
what i'm saying is, i am not an sp6 and will never be. at my core i am an sp2, who is emotionally bubbly, loves to be perceived as kind and sweet, and struggles with the fixation of pride. when i was mistyped i didn't understand myself, my motivations and my fixations. i believed people who said i exemplified sp6 characteristics while walking around with the excessive pride of a two.
correctly typing yourself is important, your correct types are truly a peek into your life experience and your thoughts. other types may seem like they're "better," but in reality all of the types are simply types, and you have to be the one to make a type good or bad.
